ParClub is published by Greg William Morris, trading as ParClub ("we", "us", "ParClub"). This policy explains what personal information ParClub collects, why, who we share it with, and how you control it. Plain-English summary first, full terms underneath.
Plain-English summary
- We need your email address so you can sign in.
- You provide a display name and golf handicap; we show these to other members of any society you join.
- Optionally you upload an avatar photo — visible to other society members.
- We collect scores you record during rounds and store them so the app can rank players, compute society handicaps, and produce an Order of Merit table for your society.
- We use Supabase (a hosted Postgres database) and Apple Push Notification Service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
- We do not sell your data.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app.
What we collect

We do not collect: your phone contacts, your precise location (only the lat/lng of the golf course you select for an event), your photo library, or any health / fitness sensor data.
Where it's stored
- Account, profile, society and scoring data: Supabase (Postgres hosted on AWS, EU region).
- Push tokens: same Supabase database; messages routed via Apple Push Notification Service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Crash logs: Apple App Store Connect (iOS) and equivalent for Android.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers. We do share data with:
- Other members of the same society — they see your name, handicap, scores, and round results.
- Sub-processors — Supabase (hosting), Apple/Google (push), and any payment provider for paid plans (currently none — ParClub is free at launch).
- Authorities — only when legally compelled (court order, lawful request).
Your rights (GDPR & UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- See what data we hold on you (email support@parclub.app and ask)
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your account and all associated data ("right to be forgotten")
- Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Object to specific processing

Children
ParClub is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.
Changes
We'll update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in-app.

ParClub uses public golf-course data (course outlines, hole layouts, scorecards) sourced from OpenStreetMap (under the Open Database License) and other free public directories. See "Credits & data sources" inside the app for full attribution.
