I take that, whatever shape it is in, and build you a private members' portal of your own. Your records migrated, your competitions rebuilt to your own rules, and the ParClub app for every member. The quiet problem
Decades of records, resting on one machine and one volunteer.
It is the same story in almost every old society. The winners, the honours, the handicaps and the way you score your competitions all live somewhere fragile, and one person understands it. When they step down, or the laptop dies, the memory goes with it. Off-the-shelf golf apps will happily take your next round. Not one of them will take your last hundred years, or score your competitions the odd way your society actually scores them. That is the job I do, and the one nobody else will touch.

And the third thing: the ParClub app comes with every build, free for every member. Fixtures, live scoring on the day, the season Order of Merit that keeps itself, and the secretary's admin done for you. The portal is the archive and the rules; the app is the golf.

You own it outright. The build is delivered to the society, not rented back to it, and your data is yours. The yearly figure keeps it hosted and keeps your rules working when they change, which for a real society they always do. A specialist firm charges many thousands for a build like this, and more again for the smallest change after. I am a one-person operation, so I do not. Every build includes the ParClub Masters app for the whole society.
How it works
From a first chat to a portal you have signed off.
- A short call. Fifteen minutes. You tell me how your society runs and where the records live now. I tell you straight whether a build is worth doing, and which of the three it is.
- You send me what you have. The spreadsheet, the database export, even photographs of the honours board. Whatever shape it is in.
- I build it and score your real season. I reproduce your competitions and run them against your actual past cards, so you can see the numbers come out right before you commit.
- You sign it off, and it is yours. A 30% deposit to start, the balance once you have seen it working. Then every member gets the app and the archive.
