A live example

This is the Fairway Society. It does not exist.

Everything here is invented, but the software is real. It is the same secretary portal we build for a paying society, filled with a made-up club so you can look around without breaking anything.

If you run a society, look at three things:

  1. the Club Championship board, the season standings
  2. the next meeting, half-drawn, the way a real week looks
  3. the Penalties ledger, shots carried by past winners

Club Championship

the season-long Order of Merit

Each member's best three finishing positions across the counting meetings, played off the society handicap (with penalties). Lowest total leads. Type a name in the search box above to jump straight to it, or select any member for their full record.

Challenge Cup

qualifier for the autumn match against the county side

The same best-three method, but the penalty shots are handed back, so the order changes. A shot only comes back if the player recorded a score on the hole it would have fallen on. It counts the meetings you tick as Challenge Cup qualifiers when you add them. The final column shows how many places a member moves compared with the Club Championship once the penalty shots come off.

Meetings

the season's meetings

Outside the season: the summer scramble and the two match-play knockouts are run by hand and do not count towards either table.

Members

Every member's WHS index, playing handicap, age allowance and any carried penalty. The playing handicap is what they actually play off: 95% of the WHS index (100% for the March medal), less any winner's penalty. Select a name for the full record. Telephone and email are shown to the secretary only and are never seen by other members.

Penalties

shots off for winning · carried into next season
